How to Read Odds
If you are new to online betting, reading odds may feel a little tricky at first. But once you understand it, it is quite straightforward.
Decimal Odds
Most betting platforms in Bangladesh use decimal odds. They are easy to understand.
Example: If the odds are 1.80 on a ৳500 bet —
৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900 (total return)
That means profit = ৳900 − ৳500 = ৳400
Implied Probability
You can gauge probability from the odds. Odds of 1.80 imply roughly a 56% chance (1 ÷ 1.80). The lower the odds, the more likely the bookmaker considers that outcome — but the reward is also smaller.
Other Formats
Fractional odds (e.g. 4/5) follow the British method — profit ÷ total stake. American odds (+150 or -120) represent profit or loss based on a $100 unit. vs5789 uses the decimal format, which is the most convenient for Bangladeshi users.
RTP and House Edge Explained
RTP, or Return to Player, is the theoretical percentage of a game that is returned to players over the long term. If a slot has an RTP of 96%, it means that on average ৳96 is expected to be returned for every ৳100 wagered — however, this is calculated over millions of rounds, not for any individual session.
Typically, the RTP range varies across different game categories. Slot games generally have an RTP ranging from 92% to 98%. Table games like blackjack can reach close to 99% with the right strategy. Roulette usually falls in the range of 94% to 97%.
House edge is the flip side of RTP. If the RTP is 96%, the house edge is 4%. This is the casino's long-term advantage, which covers the cost of running their business.
Understanding RTP and volatility before you play is important. High-volatility games offer bigger wins but less frequently — low-volatility games pay out smaller wins more often. Choose a game that suits your budget and preference.
